Vault Keeper 1.0
Updated to version 1.0_1 July 26, 2004
VaultKeeper is an application that allows to encrypt individual files o entire folders
using a pass code. Any person with access to the same computer can open the encripted
files, but the contents are completely unreadable.
The program can restore the previous file content, provided that the user provides
the correct pass code. This way, only those users who know the correct pass code can
see the real content of the encripted files.
The program is released under the GNU
General Public License. You can read the license here.
To run the program you will need a Java Virtual Machine version 1.4 or later. You can get it at
Sun's Java web site
VaultKeeper has only been tested in a Windows XP Home edition machine.
However, those using another operating systen can still give the program a chance, since the guys at
Sun say a 100% pure Java program can run anywhere. Let me know if it works for you.
